Our very deepest passion is Jesus Christ and sharing Him with those who have not heard how He can provide an abundant life now ...and an eternity of great joy in the hereafter.
The bad news comes first: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. "The wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23. "Whoever shall keep the whole law and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all." James 2:10.
Yes, as much as it hurts, God tells us that we are all sinners by nature, and that our sin separates us from God. Surely, if we were honest with ourselves we would find that we are imperfect...Please don't let this news get you down...because God has it all figured out! "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God." 1 Peter 3:18. "You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly." Romans 5:6. "Who (Jesus) was delivered up because of our offences and raised up for our justification." Romans 4:25.
OK, now were getting to the really GOOD NEWS! Did you know that right now, today, this minute you can enter into a relationship with a loving God...who has your very best interests in mind...who knows the way and is willing and delighted to show it to you personally! Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16. You cannot be saved by your own good works, or what you can say that you have done for God, but only by the One who gave His life for you. Even your association with a particular religious group or background will mean nothing on the day you meet your maker. God will determine on that day what the answer was when He knocked on the door of your heart. "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him and he with me." Revelations 3:20.
So there it is, God's invitation to you to receive a gift whose price was paid 2000 years ago by God Himself, as He suffered and died for you and was raised from the dead. "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead , then you shall be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness , and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9,10. Pray to God right now! Allow Him to do what you cannot do. If you truly mean what you say in your heart, God knows and will meet you right where you are!
Here is a simple prayer that might help, however, your own words will work too. God is much more interested in your heart.
Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe that you died on the cross and rose again for me. Please forgive me of my sins and create a new, clean heart in me. Come now, Holy Spirit and fill me that I may hear from you. In Jesus name, Amen.
"For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold all things have become new."
